
Course Offerings
Mind & Body
Courses within this track are activity-based, focusing on keeping fit and healthy for life. The main activities include skills students can incorporate into daily life. Designed for all fitness levels, courses offer an opportunity to improve and/or maintain a high level of fitness while increasing flexibility, strength, coordination, and balance. Taught in a safe and supportive environment, students will learn and practice techniques that help manage stress, increase energy levels, and connect with themselves.
Sports and Games (Team Sports)
Courses within this track are activity-based, focusing on fitness, individual skill development, fair play, and team play. The main activities of focus may include sports such as basketball, flag football, fleet ball, soccer, team handball, ultimate frisbee, and/or volleyball. Students will participate in fitness assessments throughout any course taken within this track.
Strength Training
Courses within this track will be activity-based, focusing on the principles of weight training, plyometrics, agility training, and/or powerlifting. Courses will emphasize the five components of fitness: cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, and body composition. Students will participate in fitness assessments throughout any course they take within this track.
